Tour Now & Then:
Countless, Boundless, Timeless
Three years ago the prospect of traveling to South American diabetes organizations awoke the diabetes advocate and writer inside of me. Two years ago my brother and I were well on our path to being successful international performers with our duo, dubbed “Instruments Of The Now.” One year ago saw me in China, teaching handicapped orphans how to wield circus props in a manner most fitting to their varying capabilities. This year an opus is orchestrated to bring all of these endeavors back to the country that has provided me with so much privilege.
Mission: Empower every individual through teaching and performance.
From the beginning of June until the middle of September, the Instruments sounded nationally on Tour Now & Then. Zan and Noah Moore visited so many states they can only be abbreviated in this text: MN, MT, WY, CO, NM, ID, UT, AZ, WA, OR, NV, CA and FL. No major diabetes camp or conference was safe from their renowned inspirational performances or workshops on circus skills and adventure traveling with diabetes. The rigorous diabetes circuit was spiked with cameos at many urban celebrations and rural festivals. The Instruments’ professional performances transcended a solely diabetic demographic, and brought their message to all. Raising awareness about the tour through all media channels helped bring wider-reaching attention to the growing global epidemic and the real faces it affects.
